Desiree Lee

People enter in and out of our lives. Some impacting us in countless ways.

A women with a heart of gold, a person who no matter what can make you smile at the worst of times. She has a life full of trials, but never lets the burdens show. Desiree made me want to be a better person. Try harder in all i do, and keep going even when the load has me on my knees..... crawl..... until an inner strength pulls you up.

She wanted to be pulled up, and now the weight is gone, she is free. So many say its the easy way out, but i know the strength she had. She was filled with a fortitude to do something hard and to so many incomprehensible. I will always look up to her. I love you Desiree and will miss you and your friendship. It gives me peace knowing you have no pain and tranquility all within you now.

Hallway Cries

I hear cries in the hallways,
Everyone already dressed in black,
All held in untitled suspense,
What is out of place?

I hear cries in the hallways,
Whispers conveyed to one another,
Emotions anxiety unsettled,
Where are you?

I hear cries in the hallways,
Everyone’s head down overwhelmed,
Filled eyes to moisture on cheeks,
Why would you?

I hear cries in the hallways,
When will I see you?

Hope-Fate-and-Happiness

Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, Every story we’re told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we’re so focused on finding our happy ending we don’t learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don’t, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe… it’s you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is… just… moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the un-returned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope.

so......

Appreciate those who have hurt you, because they strengthen your heart. Appreciate those who deceive you, because they improve your wisdom. Appreciate those who abandon you, because they teach you independence. ♥

Sometimes we live in the dark for so long, that when we finally see a light at the end we are overly happy. Thoughts come racing into your mind. A special fate is calling, are you going to listen- crack the code to the secret message right in front of you- don't let this be your last best chance. Take it. Don't let your veins be filled with an un-lived life. Ghandi has said "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

"You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks or even months over-analyzing a situation, trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened. Or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the f--- on." -Tupac Shakur
